Court orders to freeze and seize assets of Orion boss Obaidul Karim

A court has issued a directive to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to freeze and seize the assets of Mohammad Obaidul Karim, the chairman of the Orion Group, in a recent ruling.

The decision by Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Court came as part of an ongoing legal matter concerning his financial dealings.

 

The move is seen as a significant step in the legal proceedings against the prominent businessman, who has been under scrutiny for some time.

As per the court order, all assets in Karim's name, including substantial holdings in various sectors, are to be frozen until further notice.

This includes both movable and immovable properties, with implications for his financial status. 

 

The freeze order follows a growing list of legal actions and investigations involving the businessman, casting a shadow over his business empire, which has interests spanning across various industries.
