A court here today placed three members of the banned organisation Hizb ut-Tahrir on different terms of remand in a case lodged under the anti-terrorism act.
The three remanded accused are Monirul Islam, Mohtasin Billah and Mahmudul Hasan.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Awlad Hossain Mohammad Junaid passed the order, placing Monirul on two and Mohtasin and Mahmudul on one-day remand each in the case.
The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police arrested the three in separate drives last night from Uttara.
CTTC sub-inspector Alamgir Kabir filed the case with Uttara West Police Station.
