Bangladeshi shot dead 'by BSF' along Brahmanbaria border

BSF members took him to a an Indian hospital where he succumbed to his injuries around 9 pm

A 32-year-old Bangladeshi national was shot dead allegedly by the members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Putia border in Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria district on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Al Amin, 32, son of Sultan Mia of Putia village.

Samiul Islam, Kasba Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO), said the BSF members opened fire on him around 7pm, leaving him injured.

Later, the BSF members took him to a an Indian hospital where he succumbed to his injuries around 9 pm, he said.

A flag meeting will be held between BSF and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Saturday.
