Temperatures set to rise by up to 2°C across the country: BMD

Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast light rain in parts of Sylhet while the rest of the country is expected to remain mostly dry with a slight rise in temperature

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted that while most of the country will experience predominantly dry weather, some parts of Sylhet may receive light rainfall. The sky is expected to remain partly cloudy across the country.

According to a bulletin on the department’s website, light to moderate fog may be observed across Bangladesh in the early hours of Tuesday.

Similar conditions were reported on Monday morning. 

Additionally, daytime temperatures are expected to rise by 1-2°C across the country.

In Dhaka and its surrounding areas, the weather forecast suggests partly cloudy skies with dry conditions prevailing.

The six-hour forecast issued at 7am on Monday indicated that temperatures in the capital could increase slightly throughout the day.

At 6am on Monday, Dhaka recorded a temperature of 20.0°C, with humidity levels at 90%. Winds from the west and northwest are expected to blow at speeds ranging between 6 and 12 km/h.

The sun is set to set at 5:55pm on Monday (17 February), while Tuesday's sunrise is expected at 6:30am.
