The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has arrested Masud Biswas, the former head of the Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU), on charges of corruption.
The arrest was made on Friday night with assistance from the Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police. Following the arrest, Masud Biswas was taken to the ACC office for further interrogation.
Earlier, the ACC had filed a case against Masud Biswas, accusing him of amassing wealth beyond his known sources of income.
