"A thorough investigation conducted by Nagad has shed light on the deceptive tactics employed by certain quarters, which led to the dissemination of false information regarding customer data. Regrettably, some media outlets fell prey to these promotions and erroneously implicated Nagad in their reports," reads a press release issued by Nagad on Wednesday (13 March).
In response to these alarming findings, Nagad said they have promptly reached out to regulatory authorities, emphasising the urgency of the matter. A formal letter has been dispatched in this regard, seeking immediate intervention to address the issue and safeguard the interests of customers."
