Adviser Mahfuj Alam has presented a list of 14 priority tasks for the current administration.

On Monday (6 January), Mahfuj Alam disclosed this list through a post on his verified Facebook profile.

Among the listed priorities, he highlighted support for those injured or martyred during the July uprising and the conclusion of fascist governance and judicial processes.

The primary priorities outlined include:

  • Preparing a list of those martyred and injured in July, providing medical assistance, financial support, and long-term rehabilitation for affected families.
  • Conducting trials for the July genocide, ensuring proper legal proceedings and thorough investigations.
  • Prosecuting 16 years of enforced disappearances, murders, and economic plundering, alongside recovering embezzled funds.
  • Ensuring public safety and maintaining affordable prices for essential commodities.
  • Implementing realistic reforms across state institutions based on national consensus.
  • Overhauling vital sectors such as education, public health, information technology, and housing.
  • Ensuring equal opportunities for youth employment and entrepreneurship, with increased state incentives.
  • Adopting economic programmes that prioritise people, life, nature, and the environment over so-called 'development economics.'
  • Guaranteeing transparency, accountability, and public service across all government activities.

Additionally, the political priorities include:

  • Uniting forces behind the abolition of fascist governance and establishing a new political settlement.
  • Upholding national interests above the demands of big corporations and foreign entities, focusing instead on the people, nature, and the environment.
  • Maintaining consensus among political parties on national security, stability, and foreign relations, while preventing the return of fascist governance and murderers through public mobilisation.
  • Keeping the populace united in support of reforms and entrusting power transfer processes, including electoral systems, to the people's mandate following reforms.
  • Politically educating and raising awareness, particularly among the youth, about their rights and responsibilities.
