Adviser Mahfuj Alam has stressed that India must grasp Bangladesh's evolving reality and unequivocally recognise the July Revolution and the democratic struggle led by students and the masses.

He made these remarks in a verified Facebook post on Wednesday (4 December) at 5:54am.

Under the title "On India-Bangladesh Relations," the post, written in English, urged India to abandon its post-1975 playbook and adapt to Bangladesh's present circumstances.

"This is not the post-'75 scenario," Alam stated firmly.

Referring to the July Revolution, he described it as a "democratic, generational, and accountable struggle" and warned that this movement would persist for an extended period.

"The Bangladeshi people are no longer what they were before," he noted, adding, "They are now united and dignified, fighting for their honour till their last breath."

Mahfuj Alam criticised Indian entities for attempting to portray the July Revolution as a power grab by militant, anti-Hindu, or Islamist factions.

"Their propaganda and provocations are failing," he declared, asserting that the truth is becoming evident to all.

Quoting popular slogans such as "Delhi or Dhaka? Dhaka, Dhaka!" and "Homeland or Martyrdom!" Mahfuj Alam noted that these chants resonate in every corner of Bangladesh, symbolising the nation's unity and resolve.

He cautioned India against making an enemy of a united, dignified, and democratic Bangladesh, urging Delhi to reconsider its approach to the country's transformed political landscape.

For the first time in nearly two decades, Alam observed, the Bangladeshi people are enjoying their democratic rights without hindrance.

He proclaimed, "Truth has emerged... falsehood shall perish—always!"

Reflecting on the nation’s historical struggles, he remarked, "After 1971, we failed as a state, but not this time."

The post concluded with a resolute declaration of faith: "Allah Bhorosha!"
