The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) will remain unchanged for December, with the maximum retail price for a 12kg LPG cylinder set at Tk1,455. The price of autogas also remains steady at Tk66.81 per litre.
The new rates will come into effect from 6pm on Tuesday (3 December), as announced by the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC).
BERC Chairman Jalal Ahmed revealed the rates during a press briefing held on 3 December at the BERC hall room.
Among those present were Syeda Sultana Razia, Md Mizanur Rahman, Md Abdur Razzak, and BERC Secretary Barrister Khalilur Rahman.
Since 12 April 2021, the pricing of imported LPG has been linked to fluctuations in Saudi Arabian market prices.
According to BERC's policy, while the base price may vary in line with international trends, other commissions and charges remain unchanged. BERC has consistently announced monthly LPG prices since the policy's introduction.
