The Election Commission has announced plans to initiate a door-to-door voter list update across the country starting in March 2025.
Election Commissioner Brigadier General (Retd) Abul Fazl Md Sanaullah shared the decision during the first meeting of the newly formed commission, held on Monday (2 December), at the Election Commission headquarters in Agargaon, Dhaka.
Speaking to the press, EC Sanaullah stated, "The Election Commission has decided to update the voter list through a house-to-house verification process. This programme will commence after the final voter list is published on 2 March next year."
This announcement marks a significant step towards ensuring a comprehensive and accurate electoral roll, reinforcing the commission's commitment to a transparent and inclusive democratic process.
