Dhaka Mass Transit Company Ltd (DMTCL) will keep registration and re-issuance of MRT pass suspended till 7 November "for updating and integrating data, and improving safety".
However, DMTCL Managing Director Mohammad Abdur Rouf said issuance of single journey passes will continue as usual.
On Friday, DMTCL disclosed the issue posting on its verified Facebook page around 6:20pm.
The post reads, "Due to unavoidable circumstances, card registration and re-issuance will be unavailable until 7 November, 2024. We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience."
