The government and garment factory owners have accepted an 18-point demand from garment workers.
The decision came after a meeting of advisers, union leaders and representatives from the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA).
Labour and Employment Secretary AHM Shafiquzzaman announced the decision today at a press briefing at the labour ministry here.
Four advisers of the interim government, union leaders and representatives from BGMEA were present at the briefing.
Normal operations in the industrial zones are expected to resume tomorrow, as the workers' demands have been addressed, Shafiquzzaman said.
Labour and Employment Adviser Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, Home Ministry Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Industry Ministry Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan and Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akther were present at the meeting.
