Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir stated that there is no conflict between reforms and elections, asserting that both can proceed simultaneously.
"Reforms and elections can proceed simultaneously, no conflict between them," he said after paying tribute by laying floral wreaths at the mausoleum of the late president Ziaur Rahman, marking his 89th birth anniversary at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital on Sunday (19 January).
During the occasion, he also emphasised the necessity of finalising the reform commission's report through discussions with political parties.
