After of 13 years, the Islami Chhatra Shibir has held its central member conference, bringing together its members from across the nation to elect new leaders.
The conference began at 8am on Tuesday (31 December), at the Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital.
Previously, the last such event was held in 2010 at the China Friendship Conference Centre, now known as the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre.
The event is being attended by invited guests from home and abroad, as well as prominent leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami.
During the conference, members are expected to cast their votes to elect the central president and other key leaders of the organisation.
