Bangladeshi candidate master (CM) Sakline Mustafa Sajid emerged unbeaten Champions in Under- 14 group of the 7th Western Asian Youth Chess Championship'2024 now being held in the Sri Lankan capital Colombo on Monday.
After the day's 9th and last round match, Sajid assured the U-14 group crown securing seven points after making a draw with his Kazakhstan rival.
With the day's feat, CM Sajid also achieved the Fide Master title.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh national chess champions Manon Reja Neer finished runner-up in the Under-18 age group of blitz chess.
