Opposition Leader of the Parliament and Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader said that the government should not increase indirect taxes in the fiscal policy for 2024-2025 amid the soaring prices of daily essentials.
He was speaking at the budget session of the 12th Parliament on Saturday (June 29).
He stated that the upcoming budget is not extraordinary and that the development allocation is high considering the current economic situation.
"I think the government should bring down the development budget. You can reduce the development budget, but don't increase it," said GM Quader.
