Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has emphasized that the government's focus lies not on the reactions exhibited by the BNP but rather on stabilizing the prices of daily commodities and fulfilling the election manifesto.

The Awami League secretary made these comments during a press briefing held at its party office in Dhanmondi on Friday.

Obaidul Quader said that the BNP abstained from national polls and failed in their movements. They have friends both at home and abroad and also face challenges in maintaining face value with foreign friends.

The party secretary also acknowledged that the whole world is currently facing challenges, and Bangladesh is not exempt from their effects.

"Yesterday, we noticed that remittance inflow increased, but reserves decreased. The fall and rise are abnormal. Despite this, we are still self-sufficient in agricultural food, which is a good sign. In spite of the unrest, there is no wailing among the people, and I have not seen any protests. Everyone is living a normal life," he added.
