A moderate earthquake was felt across Dhaka and several regions of Bangladesh on Wednesday (5 March) morning, marking the fourth such tremor in the past ten days - causing momentary panic among residents.
According to the Seismic Observation and Research Centre of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, the earthquake struck at 11:36am, with its epicentre located 449 kilometres from Dhaka in the border region between India and Myanmar.
The magnitude of the quake was recorded at 5.6.
No immediate reports of damage or casualties have emerged following the tremor.
