To uphold public security and ensure the stability of law and order in the capital, Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retd) conducted an impromptu inspection of police patrol operations in Dhaka.
The adviser commenced his visit at dawn on Wednesday (26 February), covering several vital intersections and police-manned checkpoints across the city.
His route included significant locations such as Banani Mor, Bijoy Sarani, Manik Mia Avenue, Kalabagan, Eden College, and New Market police station.
Continuing his assessment, he proceeded from New Market to Shahbagh Mor, Matsya Bhaban, Moghbazar, Hatirjheel, Police Plaza, and finally inspected operations at Gulshan police station.
The inspection concluded with his return to his Baridhara residence via United Hospital road, during which he also surveyed several adjacent alleyways.
During his visit, the adviser engaged with law enforcement personnel stationed at various police checkpoints and provided them with necessary directives.
He also emphasised the need for heightened vigilance among security forces across the capital and the entire country to maintain law and order.
