The six reform commissions under the interim government are set to release their full reports on 8 February, marking the six-month anniversary of the administration. These reports will outline necessary actions for the government, providing a detailed roadmap for reform.
The decision followed a meeting between the six heads of the reform commissions and Chief Advisor Prof. Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna on Tuesday, according to a statement released on the official Facebook page of the Chief Adviser GOB.
The commission reports will be divided into two categories: one focusing on urgent reforms that can be quickly implemented and the other addressing structural reforms that require procedural steps. The recommendations aim to streamline governance and address critical challenges.
Government ministries will be tasked with executing reforms under their jurisdiction, with updates shared with political parties. Broader reforms requiring political consensus will be taken up by the National Consensus Commission, which will initiate discussions with political parties and other stakeholders.
The first meeting of the National Consensus Commission is expected to take place in mid-February, following agreements with political parties. From that date, the commission will begin its work to facilitate national consensus and drive long-term reforms.
