Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus held a meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz today on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland.
Dr. Yunus is on a four-day official visit to Switzerland to participate in the WEF summit. He arrived in Zurich on Tuesday at 5:25 pm Bangladesh time.
During his visit, Dr. Yunus is scheduled to engage in bilateral discussions with other prominent global leaders, including Finnish President Alexander Stubb, King Philippe of Belgium, and Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra.
He is also scheduled to meet with notable personalities such as Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum of the UAE, Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank, Sir Nick Clegg, President of Global Affairs at Meta, Dr. Agnes Callamard, Secretary-General of Amnesty International, and Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization.
A special session focusing on Bangladesh will take place at the WEF, featuring global business leaders and chief executives from various international organisations.
Dr. Yunus is set to return to Dhaka on 25 January.
