The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed three separate cases against former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, her sister Sheikh Rehana, and several of their family members, alleging the misuse of power to acquire plots from the Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK).

Officially registered on Monday (13 January), the charges also implicate Sheikh Rehana's son, Radwan Mujib Siddiq Bobby, and her daughters, Azmina Siddiq and Tulip Rizwana Siddiq, said ACC Director General Md Akhtar Hossain.

In these three cases, Sheikh Rehana, Radwan Mujib Siddiq Bobby, and Azmina Siddiq have been named as the principal accused, while Tulip Rizwana Siddiq and former prime minister Sheikh Hasina have been listed as accomplices.

Each case includes 12 to 13 accused individuals.

Previously, on Sunday (12 January), the ACC filed a case against the ousted former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, her daughter Saima Wazed Putul and 17 others.

The allegations centred around the abuse of power in allocating a 60-katha plot in Purbachal.

This latest move underscores the ACC’s ongoing investigations into high-profile corruption cases, marking a significant chapter in Bangladesh’s efforts to address misuse of authority at the highest levels.
