Journalist and television host Munni Saha has been arrested from the capital's Karwan Bazar tonight (30 November).
Deputy Commissioner (DC) of DMP's Tejgaon division, Mohammad Ruhul Kabir Khan, confirmed the arrest of Munni Saha.
Ruhul Kabir Khan said, "Locals blocked her way after seeing her in the Karwan Bazar area on Saturday night. On information, Tejgaon police personnel rushed to the spot and rescued Munni Saha and took her into custody. Later she was taken to DB office on Minto Road."
When asked, Tejgaon Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Mobarak Hossain said Munni Saha was arrested in a Nayeem Howlader murder case filed with Jatrabari Police Station in the capital.
Nayeem was shot to death during the mass uprising in July-August. Victim's father, Md. Kamrul Islam, filed the case on 22 August.
