The Public Service Commission (PSC) has published the circular for the 47th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination. The announcement was made on the PSC website this Thursday afternoon (28 November).
According to the circular, there are 3,487 cadre vacancies and 201 non-cadre vacancies, making a total of 3,688 positions available for recruitment. This BCS includes several newly introduced posts.
The statement stated that interested candidates must complete the application process online using the form specified by the commission, accessible through its website. The online application period begins at 10 am on 10 December and ends at 11:59 pm on 31 December.
Applications submitted before or after the designated period will not be accepted, said the PSC.
Applicants must be between 21 and 32 years of age as of 1 November 2024, to be eligible.
Out of the 3,487 cadre positions, the administration cadre has the highest allocation with 200 openings, followed by 168 positions in the agriculture cadre and 100 in the police cadre.
For non-cadre positions, 41 vacancies are in the 9th grade, 154 in the 10th grade, and six in the 12th grade.
