After several months of consistent rainfall and heavy downpours nationwide, the rainy spell has recently withdrawn, bringing a notable relief from the intense heat.

On Sunday (3 November), the Bangladesh Meteorological Department issued a bulletin stating that a seasonal low-pressure system is positioned over the southern Bay of Bengal.

Given this condition, no rainfall is expected anywhere in the country today, either during the day or night, though partly cloudy skies may be observed across Bangladesh, with predominantly dry weather likely to persist.

However, there is a forecast for light rainfall in isolated areas of Chattogram and Sylhet Divisions starting from 9am on Monday, lasting 24 hours.

During the subsequent 24-hour period, light rain or thundershowers may occur in a few areas within Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet Divisions.

For these two days, the rest of the country is expected to experience partly cloudy skies with generally dry weather.

In a recent update, the Meteorological Department recorded the highest temperature in the country at 34.2 degrees Celsius in Mongla, Bagerhat, on Saturday (2 November).

On Sunday, the lowest temperature of 20.1 degrees Celsius was noted in Tetulia, Panchagarh.

According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures across Bangladesh are likely to remain steady until Tuesday morning (5 November).

However, daytime temperatures may see a slight decrease on Tuesday, while nighttime temperatures could experience a slight increase.

Furthermore, the extended five-day weather outlook indicates a possibility of a further drop in temperatures across the country.
