The personnel of Bangladesh Army have detained seven persons with two foreign revolvers and domestic weapons in a raid at the Geneva camp of Mohammadpur in the capital.
The Daring Tigers unit of 23 East Bengal Regiment conducted the operation on Monday (28 October) night and detained them.
According to the army, acting on a tip-off, an operation was conducted in Geneva camp to arrest Geneva camp’s drug lord Munia Sohel. However, Munia Sohel managed to flee the camp. Later, the army men arrested Munia’s seven aides. Meanwhile, they raided Munia Sohel's hideout and recovered two foreign revolvers.
The army also informed that the operation will continue until Mohammadpur is made free of terrorism and drugs.
