The interim government has appointed new managing directors (MD) for six state-owned banks: Sonali, Rupali, Agrani, Janata, BDBL, and BASIC Bank.

Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance issued six separate letters to the chairmen of these banks, informing them of the new appointments on Monday (21 October).

The newly appointed Managing Directors are Shawkat Ali Khan for Sonali Bank, Md Abdur Rahim for Rupali Bank, Anwarul Islam for Agrani Bank, Mojibur Rahman for Janata Bank, Jasim Uddin for BDBL, and Kamruzzaman Khan for BASIC Bank.
