Hasnat Abdullah, one of the coordinators of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, has demanded the removal of President Mohammed Shahabuddin.

Abdullah made his position clear, calling for significant reforms in a Facebook post from his verified account on Thursday afternoon (3 October).

In his post, Abdullah wrote: "There must be accountability for the Awami League's actions, the formation of a new constitution, the replacement of corrupt Awami bureaucrats, the cancellation of all illegal agreements made during Hasina's tenure, and the immediate removal of Shahabuddin from the presidency."
