The interim government has made Abu Hena Morshed Zaman, currently serving as the secretary of the Local Government Division, an officer on special duty (OSD) within the Ministry of Public Administration.
This decision was formalised through a notification issued on Sunday (6 October), by the Ministry of Public Administration.
In a separate announcement, two additional secretaries have been promoted to the rank of secretary.
Farzana Momtaz, previously serving as the additional secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, has been appointed as the Secretary of the Power Division.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Rezaul Makhshud Jahedi, an additional secretary in the Ministry of Public Administration, has been assigned to the secretary position at the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Additionally, Suraiya Akhtar Jahan, who was previously on OSD status, has been appointed as the chairperson of the Bangladesh Fisheries Development Corporation.
