Zubayer Uddin Babu, a 25-year-old youth, was killed in a clash between two rival groups of the Chhatra Dal over establishing dominance in the Chandgaon area of Chattogram city.

The deceased, Zubayer Uddin Babu, was a resident of the Foidya Pukurpar area in Kazi Pole, Chailatoli, Chandgaon, and the son of late Kamal Uddin.

The incident took place on Friday, 20 September, around 6 pm in front of the Ward No. 4 Councillor's office.

Babu, who was critically injured in the clash, was taken to Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH), where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

Suman Barua, Sub-Inspector of Chandgaon Police Station, confirmed the incident, stating, “A clash between two groups occurred near the Councillor's office in the old Chandgaon area. Two people were injured from stab wounds and were taken to CMCH. Zubayer Uddin Babu died while undergoing treatment.”
