DU set to launch shuttle bus service on campus

The Dhaka University authorities will launch shuttle bus service for three months on experimental basis to make it easy for students to move on the campus.

DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Niaz Ahmed Khan is likely to open the service in the last week of this month.

Three non-AC minibuses will initially operate on three routes under the program from 7 am to 9 pm.

on Thursday, Prof. Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, the DU treasurer, examined the buses that were brought in to serve the students.

The proposed first route is from Kabi Sufia Kamal Hall to Nilkhet crossing via Amar Ekushey Hall, Shahidullah Hall, Curzon Hall, Mokarram Bhaban, Science Annex Bhaban, TSC, Arts building and Mall Chattar. 

The second route will start from Nilkhet intersection to Sufia Kamal Hall through crossing Mall Chattar, Business Faculty, Lecture Theater Building, Modhu's Canteen, central library, fine arts faculty, TSC, Institute of Nutrition and Food Science and Curzon hall.

The third route will be from Sufia Kamal Hall to Nilkhet intersection via Amar Ekushey Hall, Shahidullah Hall, Curzon Hall, Mokarram Bhaban, Science Annex Bhaban, Jagannath Hall, SM Hall, Fuller Road and Mall Chattar.
