From 17 January, Dhaka Metro Rail will begin operations at 3pm on Fridays, offering extended service hours on the weekly holiday.
According to a new schedule issued by Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL), the first train from Uttara North Station will depart at 3pm, with the final service at 9pm.
Similarly, trains from Motijheel will commence at 3:20pm, with the last train leaving at 9:40pm.
Trains will run at ten-minute intervals throughout the day.
Tickets for single journeys will be available from 2:45pm at Uttara North Station and from 3:05pm at Motijheel Station.
Passengers can also purchase Rapid Pass cards or recharge their MRT cards during this period.
All other services and operations of the metro rail will remain unchanged.
