A section of the viaduct on the Dhaka Metro Rail's MRT Line-6 has experienced partial suspension due to the misalignment of a spring, resulting in a disruption of metro services on the affected route.

The incident occurred on Wednesday (18 September) morning.

According to a source responsible for the metro rail, a part of the viaduct located between Farmgate and Bijoy Sarani has subsided, causing the rail alignment to become uneven.

This has led to the suspension of metro services on the Agargaon-Motijheel-Agargaon route. The service will remain suspended until the necessary repairs are completed.

It has been reported that a spring has dislodged from one of the four springs on a viaduct pillar located in front of the Islamia Eye Hospital, following the Farmgate station.

This displacement has caused the route alignment to become uneven.
