Severe traffic congestion has been disrupting the Dhaka-Chattogram highway.
The incident originated around 7:30am on Friday (10 January) when a covered van lost control and overturned near Gauripur on the Dhaka-bound side of the highway.
Subsequent delay in removing the overturned vehicle caused significant disruption.
Although the van was eventually cleared, the traffic flow struggled to normalise due to the high volume of vehicles and some travelling against the traffic direction.
The delay left passengers increasingly frustrated.
