After several days of severe cold and chilling winds across the country, the temperature has slightly risen over the past two days.
However, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has indicated that another cold wave may sweep across the country starting Thursday (9 January).
Meteorologist Abdur Rahman stated that the daytime and nighttime temperatures in Dhaka are expected to increase slightly over the next two to three days, meaning this rise will continue until Wednesday.
From the following day, temperatures are anticipated to drop again, intensifying the cold sensation.
Additionally, there is a possibility of light rain in various parts of the country on Monday and Tuesday.
In recent days, Dhaka experienced intense fog and cold.
However, last Saturday saw the emergence of sunlight, which continued into the next day, leading to a rise in temperature.
The weather across the country is expected to remain dry with temporary partly cloudy skies.
Moderate to dense fog is likely to prevail from midnight to morning across the country and may persist until noon in some areas.
During this period, there could be a slight increase in both daytime and nighttime temperatures nationwide.
