The interim government has urged the followers of Maulana Mohammad Zubaer and Maulana Saad to ensure peaceful coexistence at their respective Tablighi centres at district and upazila levels.
A notification in this regard was issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday (2 January).
The directive specifically requests that neither faction obstruct nor create disturbances at the centres of the other.
It also reiterated earlier instructions regarding the Kakrail Mosque in the capital, which must continue to be observed.
The appeal follows clashes between the two factions over the occupation of the Tongi Bishwa Ijtema grounds in Gazipur on the night of 17 December.
The violent confrontation resulted in the deaths of at least four individuals.
Subsequently, the government held discussions with both sides and decided to vacate the Ijtema grounds.
Until further notice, police banned assemblies, rallies, and protests in and around the Ijtema grounds.
On 2 January, the restrictions surrounding the Ijtema grounds were lifted.
A notification signed by Nazmul Karim Khan, the Commissioner of Gazipur Metropolitan Police, announced the withdrawal of the prohibition orders.
According to the notification, all orders issued under the authority of the Gazipur Metropolitan Police Act on 18 December at 2pm, which imposed restrictions within a three-kilometre radius of the Ijtema grounds, were officially lifted as of 5pm on Thursday.
