Non-commissioned personnel of the Bangladesh Army, dismissed or forced into early retirement during the Hasina regime, staged a protest in front of Jahangir Gate in the capital on Sunday (29 December).
The demonstration lasted approximately one hour, during which the former soldiers sat at the intersection, demanding reinstatement to their previous positions in the armed forces.
A traffic official from Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Tejgaon division said, "They sat on the intersection and demanded reinstatement of their jobs at different positions."
