A tragic collision between a bus and a CNG-powered autorickshaw claimed the lives of five individuals and left two others critically injured in Sherpur Sadar Upazila.
The accident occurred around 11:30am on Sunday (29 December), at Bhatsala on the Sherpur-Mymensingh highway.
According to sources, a bus belonging to Rifat Paribahan collided head-on with a passenger-carrying autorickshaw.
The impact resulted in the immediate deaths of five people at the scene, while two others sustained severe injuries.
They were promptly rescued and transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
Members of the Sadar Police Station arrived at the scene shortly after the incident to manage the situation and begin investigations.
