Tahjib Alam Siddique, Awami League former lawmaker from Jhenaidah-2 constituency, has been arrested on Thursday night from Nabinagar area, on the outskirts of the capital city Dhaka.
The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) confirmed the matter in a short message.
Three separate cases of vandalism, arson, explosive possession and murder were filed against Tahjib with Jhenaidah Sadar Police Station on August 19, 24 and 27 last.
He will be produced before the court on Friday.
