Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has reported the presence of a seasonal low-pressure system over the southern Bay of Bengal, with additional light rainfall anticipated across seven divisions.

According to BMD, the low-pressure extension is currently centred over West Bengal and adjoining regions, with the primary seasonal low-pressure zone situated in the southern Bay of Bengal.

Forecasts suggest that until Friday evening (1 November), isolated areas within the divisions of Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet may experience light rainfall.

During this period, the weather across other regions is expected to remain predominantly dry with transiently partly cloudy skies.

Following this, no further rainfall is forecasted for the next several days, with predictions indicating primarily dry weather accompanied by intermittent partial cloud cover throughout the country.

On Thursday (31 October), the highest temperature recorded was 34.6 degrees Celsius at Mongla in Bagerhat and Khepupara in Patuakhali, while the lowest was 21.2 degrees Celsius in Tetulia, Panchagarh.

BMD further predicts that temperatures nationwide will remain largely unchanged through Saturday evening (2 November), with a slight dip anticipated in nighttime temperatures.

Daytime temperatures on Sunday (3 November) are expected to remain steady.

For the following five days, the weather is likely to see minimal variations.
