The Rail Way authority stopped the operation on Khulna-Benapole-Mongla route from last July seeming people security during country wide anarchy, vandalism and arson activities.

The Khulna-Benapole-Mongla commuter train has started its operation today after 11 days shut down during quota reforms in government services and anti-discrimination students’ movement.

The Rail Way authority stopped the operation on Khulna-Benapole-Mongla route from last July seeming people security during country wide anarchy, vandalism and arson activities.

The Betna express has also resumed its operation on August 1, but the authority closed its operation till August 3 while law and order situation were deteriorated.

Sayeduzzaman, Station Master of Benapole said, the Betna express left Khulna at 6.15am and arrived at the Benapole landport around 8.00am with 215 passengers while it left Benapole station as namely Mongla express at 9.30am and reached in Khulna station around 11.15am with 235 passengers.
