Charge sheet filed against Bengal Group Chairman Abul Khair, wife sued

The ACC filed a case against Abul Khair’s wife, Mohua Khair, for hiding information about wealth worth Tk97,087 and possessing wealth worth Tk2.52 crore without any known income source.

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a charge sheet against Bengal Group Chairman Abul Khair Litu and has sued his wife, Mohua Khair, on charges of amassing wealth beyond known income sources.

ACC Deputy Director (Investigation) Kamruzzaman filed the charge sheet against Litu on Thursday (11 July).

The ACC investigation revealed that Abul Khair Litu hid information about wealth worth Tk12.41 lakh in his wealth statement submitted to the commission and possessed wealth worth Tk 90.32 crore beyond any known income source.

ACC Deputy Director Monayem filed the case against Litu at the Commission's Integrated District Office Dhaka-1 in 2023.

Meanwhile, ACC Deputy Director Monayem Hossain also filed a case against Abul Khair’s wife, Mohua Khair, for hiding information about wealth worth Tk97,087 and possessing wealth worth Tk2.52 crore without any known income source.
