The Anti-Corruption Commission is raiding the Central Cattle Breeding and Dairy Farm in Savar on allegations of cooperating with Sadeeq Agro in its deceptive activities.

ACC Assistant Director Abul Kalam Azad is leading a 9-member ACC team that started the operation around 12:45pm on Monday.

The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) recently demolished the structures of ‘Sadeeq Agro Farm’ in Mohammadpur for operating without a license.

DNCC officials alleged that Sadeeq Agro was established on the land of Ramchandrapur Canal in the Mohammadpur area, despite a High Court ruling prohibiting any infrastructure within 30 feet of a canal's foreshore.

Additionally, Sadeeq Agro did not have permission from Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) to establish the farm, nor did it obtain any trade license from the city corporation.

These irregularities came to light following controversy over a goat bought by the son of NBR official Matiur Rahman at the staggering price of Tk15 lakh.

Investigations into the incident revealed several instances of serious corruption involving Matiur Rahman and Sadeeq Agro.
