At least two people were killed in a collision between two covered vans in Cumilla.
The accident took place in Chauddagram upazila of the district at around 5am on Tuesday (4 June), said Miyabazar Highway Police outpost Officer-in-Charge Lokman Hossain.
The deceased have been identified as the driver of one of the covered vans Sagar and his associate Belal Hossain; both of them hailed from Kurigram district.
"Engine of one of the covered vans stopped in the middle of the highway. Later another covered van was used to give it a push to start the engine. At one point, the engine started and hit the front side of the covered van giving a push - killing the driver and his accomplice on the spot," OC Lokman said.
Driver of the other covered van and his helper ran away, police said.
The bodies have been sent to Upazila Health Complex
