Three students were severely injured after being struck by a private car on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway, near Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.

The accident occurred around 12:30 pm today (October 27) near the flyover in front of the airport's third terminal.

"Three students were injured in a collision with a private car. Two of them have broken legs, and one has suffered a head injury," said Mostafizur Rahman, inspector of the Airport Police Station.

The injured students were transported to the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR) for treatment, he added.

Mostafizur Rahman said, “The car owner was driving at the time of the incident. The police have seized the vehicle and detained the owner, who is currently in custody at the police station,”
