Awards were presented in four categories to leading contributors to investment on the third day of the four-day Bangladesh Investment Summit 2025, with Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus handing over the accolades during the opening ceremony.
The awards ceremony took place on Wednesday (9 April), at the InterContinental Hotel in Dhaka.
Recognised for their outstanding contributions were Walton (domestic investor), bKash (foreign investor), as well as Square Pharmaceuticals and Fabrics. Each received their award from Dr Yunus in acknowledgement of their roles in advancing Bangladesh’s investment landscape.
In a special category, the chairman of the Korean Export Processing Zone was conferred honorary citizenship in recognition of his exceptional role in promoting bilateral economic engagement.
The summit, organised by the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), began on 7 April and continues to attract key stakeholders from across sectors.
