Golden Tulip The Grandmark Dhaka is set to host "Boishakhi Bhuribhoj," a grand culinary celebration to mark Pohela Boishakh, the Bengali New Year. Scheduled for 14 April, the event will showcase the richness of Bengali cuisine through a specially curated buffet at the hotel’s Golden Dine restaurant.
The menu, designed by Executive Chef Shahidul Alam, promises an exquisite experience for diners, reads a press release.
Highlights include traditional drinks like Aam Panna and Beler Shorbot, and dishes such as Mutton Paya Nehari, Sorshe Ilish, Bhuna Khichuri, and Boishakhi Panta Bhat. Live cooking stations will serve popular delicacies like Fried Hilsa Fish, Doi Fuchka, and various traditional pithas. For dessert, guests can indulge in Narikel Payesh, Gurer Sondesh, and an assortment of pastries, among other treats.
The Boishakhi Buffet Brunch will be available from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm, priced at Tk1,999, while the dinner buffet, available from 6:30pm to 10:30pm, is priced at Tk3,699. Guests can also enjoy a "Buy 1 Get 1 Free" offer on the dinner buffet with selected bank cards.
For a casual celebration, the hotel's Cafe De Tulip will feature street food favorites like Jhal Muri, Chotpoti, and assorted pithas, alongside refreshing drinks and ice cream. Visitors can also enjoy engaging activities such as face painting, a henna festival, and traditional amusements like a bioscope and a jumping castle.
