The administration has been able to demolish the vested quarter's interest to destabilize the country by hiking essential prices before Ramadan and deteriorating law and order situation.

It has been seen that although the supply and prices of all products are normal, an attempt has been made to create an artificial crisis of soybean oil, she added.
"On Tuesday, I conducted a drive in Khatunganj, known as the wholesale hub of the commercial capital and port city of Chattogram along with Chattogram City Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain," Khanam said.
At that time, she said the traders announced to sell soybean oil at Taka 160.
"I have issued a public notice. If necessary, the dishonest traders will be brought under the law," she said.
She also said so far, 40 mobile courts have been conducted and there are plans for conducting another 400 mobile court drives during the month of Ramadan.
A deputy commissioner wishing not to be named said, "Although we perform the duties at the district level, we are actually mid-level officials of the administration. We are trying our best to protect his honor."
