Govt lists over 1400 uprising injured as July Warriors

The government has published two separate gazettes listing 1, 401 people classified as ‘July Warriors’ under the ‘A’ and ‘B’ category as recognition of their participation in the student-led uprising.

A gazette, signed by Deputy Secretary (Gazette) Haridas Thakur of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs, was issued on Thursday by order of the president.

In another gazette, 908 people were also listed under ‘B’ category and they were seriously injured.

The documents detail the serial numbers, medical case IDs, names of the injured, their parents’ names, permanent addresses, and respective divisions and districts.
