In a stern statement issued, US President Donald Trump has demanded the immediate release of all hostages held by Hamas in Gaza, threatening to cancel the precarious ceasefire agreement if the condition is not met by midday this Saturday.

Trump t made it clear that the failure to free the hostages would result in severe repercussions, declaring that "let hell break out" should the situation remain unresolved, reports AFP.

The ceasefire, which has brought a temporary halt to hostilities between Israel and Hamas, remains fragile, and Trump’s intervention underscores the growing international concern over the fate of the remaining captives.

The deadline for Hamas to release the hostages is set at 12pm on Saturday, creating an atmosphere of heightened tension as the clock ticks down.

Trump's warning adds a new layer of pressure to an already volatile situation in the Middle East, where global leaders are watching closely to see if the ceasefire can hold or if hostilities will flare once again, plunging the region into further chaos.
